Bag Man Slashes Deliveryman in Garment District

MANHATTAN - A deliveryman was slashed in the head by “bagman” who tried to steal his moped in the Garment District.


At around 2:30 pm on November 10, a 58-year-old deliveryman was on his moped in front of 505 West 37 Street, when a man carrying bags approached him.


The man pulled out a knife and demanded the deliveryman’s moped. He then slashed the worker in the head.


The attacker tried to remove the moped but the deliveryman fought him off. The attacker only ran off with the keys to the moped.


He fled eastbound on 10th Avenue and 36th Street.


The victim refused medical attention.
