MANHATTAN - A Citibike riding robber has been using the rent a bike to rip high-end headphones off the heads of women in NYC, cops said. 



Investigators are looking for the same man linked to at least three cases on the Upper East Side and the Upper West Side. Police released surveillance video of the suspect who is seen riding a Citibike. 



The first incident took place at around 2:45 pm on April 6. Cops said a 20-year-old woman was walking in front of 45 East 72 Street when a man riding a gray Citibike rode up alongside her. The man ripped the headphones off the woman’s head and drove off down East 72nd Street. 



The woman was not injured. 


Cops said the headphones are valued at $595.  



Two incidents took place on April 24- one on the Upper East Side and the other on the Upper West Side.  


At around 11:30 am a 39-year-old woman was walking in front of 247 East 86 Street when a man on a Citibike rode up to her and ripped the headphones off her ears. 




There were no reported injuries. 


Cops said the headphones are valued at $500. 


Two hours later, police said the same man struck again on the Upper West Side. At around 1:15 pm a 22-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of West End Avenue and West 82nd Street. A man on a Citibike rode up alongside her and ripped the headphones off her head. He was last seen riding west on West 82nd Street. 


There were no reported injuries. Cops said the headphones are valued at $500. 




The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and a medium build. He is said to be around 25 years of age. He was last seen wearing a black mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants. He was last seen carrying a black book bag.
