MANHATTAN - An New York man was hit with hate crime charges in connection with the robbery of a man who was beaten and pelted with anti-gay remarks, cops said. A second suspect is still at large. 


Yesterday police arrested 27-year-old Terrell Porch. He was charged with hate crime/robbery, robbery, hate crime/assault, criminal possession of stolen property, aggravated assault and assault.  


Police are still searching for another suspect in the attack.


At around 3 am on July 16, a 49-year-old man was walking in front of a brownstone on West 154th Street in Hamilton Heights when he was approached by two men.


Cops said without warning the men began punching the victim repeatedly about the head and body.


As the attackers wailed on the victim they repeatedly made anti gay comments.


While the victim lay on the ground, the men removed the man’s cellphone and wallet which contained credit cards and $200 cash.


The attackers then ran off in an unknown direction.


The victim was transported for medical treatment by private means.


The suspects were caught on surveillance video at an area subway station.
