MANHATTAN - A senior straphanger was shoved to the ground while trying to board a Number 6 train on Lexington Avenue, the NYPD said. 


The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect whose image was captured as he walked through the turnstiles at the subway station at 51st Street and Lexington Avenue station. 


At around noon on January 15, a 69-year-old man was boarding a northbound Number 6 train when a man in a black vest and a grey hoodie blocked the doorway to the subway car. Cops said he pushed the elderly straphanger causing the man to fall backwards onto the ground of the subway platform. 


The victim suffered a fractured wrist in the fall. 


The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He is 6 feet tall and 200 pounds and has a beard. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and grey sweatpants. He wore a black vest with yellow lining over the hoodie. He also wore a dark colored baseball cap.
