Follow @Bronxvoice1MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a moped rider who beat two men unconscious. The attacker got into a dispute with the victim after he almost ran him over with a moped.
At around 2:40 am on July 22, a man was riding a moped on the sidewalk in front of 627 9th Avenue. The moped driver bumped into a 56-year-old man who was standing in front of a bar at the location.
Cops said the man confronted the moped driver and that’s when things got heated. The driver began arguing with the pedestrian. Suddenly the driver sucker punched the pedestrian knocking him to the ground unconscious.
Cops said the victim’s 38-year-old friend tried to intervene. The driver then punched the Good Samaritan in the face knocking him unconscious.
The attacker then hopped back on his moped and drove away.
EMS rushed the 56-year-old to Mount Sinai West where he is listed in stable condition.
The 38-year-old was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect who was seen driving a black moped.
