Follow @xMANHATTAN - The NYPD has released new photos of a would-be rapist who attacked a woman in Central Park. The new images clearly shows the suspect carrying a insulated food delivery bag on his back.
At around 5 am on October 26, a 38-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of 85 East Drive in the northern tip of the park. Cops said the suspect rode up to her and then pushed the woman over a metal fence.
The attacker then repeatedly punched the woman in the face and tried to rape her, investigators said. However, the suspect hopped on his e-bike and rode off without raping her.
Cops said he drove out of the park and fled northbound on 5th Avenue.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where she was treated and was listed in stable condition.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. He is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last seen riding an e-bike with a large black bag on his back which looked like an insulated food delivery bag. He also wore a hoodie, jeans and black sneakers and a baseball cap that he wore backwards.
