Bragg Jr. announced the indictment of Ahmad Mossad, a 23-year-old food cart vendor, for the attempted murder of a 45-year-old club promoter in a horrific fire attack that took place earlier this year in Times Square. The Violent Attack in Times Square

The defendant allegedly sought to evade accountability for more than eight months by fleeing overseas but was eventually apprehended thanks to the hard work of our prosecutors and the NYPD.” He continued, “I know the victim has suffered excruciatingly painful injuries as a result of this incident, and I hope he can continue to improve and recover.”

Mossad faces serious criminal charges in New York State Supreme Court:

• Attempted Murder in the First Degree (Class B felony)

• Assault in the First Degree (Class B felony)
