Three suspects are wanted after a safe was stolen from Lion’s Head Tavern on Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan Saturday night, police say.

Manhattan, NY - Police are searching for three unidentified suspects following a late-night burglary at Lion’s Head Tavern on Amsterdam Avenue, according to authorities.


The incident occurred on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at approximately 8:47 p.m., when the individuals reportedly entered the basement of Lion’s Head Tavern, located at 995 Amsterdam Avenue, and removed a safe containing an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.




After taking the safe, the suspects fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on West 109th Street, police said.



What Happened at Lion’s Head Tavern?


According to the police report, the suspects targeted the basement area of the popular Upper West Side bar, gaining access before removing the safe. Investigators have not yet disclosed how entry was made or whether surveillance footage captured the incident.
