NEW YORK, NY - Cops are looking for an old perv in a walker who is accused of groping several women.

According to police, the incidents involved an unidentified individual who allegedly approached women from behind and groping them before fleeing the scene on foot. Investigators believe the same individual may be responsible for both incidents.

Cops say this man sexually assaulted at least 2 women.

The first incident occurred on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 4:20 p.m., inside a commercial establishment located at 1840 Amsterdam Avenue, around the corner from the Dance Theater of Harlem, police said.

A 33-year-old woman reported that she was inside the business when an unidentified individual approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks. The suspect immediately fled the location on foot in an unknown direction. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Just three days later, a similar incident was reported in the 26th Precinct.

On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a 67-year-old woman was standing in front of 279 Saint Nicholas Avenue when an unidentified individual allegedly approached her from behind and forcibly grabbed her buttocks, according to police.

As in the first incident, the suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, and no physical injuries were reported.

NYPD investigators say the similarities between the two incidents — including the suspect’s approach, actions, and escape — indicate a possible forcible touching pattern across multiple precincts in Upper Manhattan.

As part of the investigation, media depicting the suspect, obtained during the January 3 incident, has been released and is available through DCPI. Police are urging members of the public to review the images carefully.

Police stress that community assistance can be critical in identifying suspects involved in sexual misconduct cases, particularly when incidents occur in public spaces and commercial areas.
