Sticky Fingers Thieves Make Off with $30K in Jewelry across from ‘The Shawarma’

NEW YORK, NY — A pair of brazen theives walked into a high end jewelry store in the Hudson Yards, without masks, and made off with nearly $30,000 in jewelry. Now police have released surveillance video of the suspects hoping tips will lead to their arrests.
According to police, the incident occurred on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at approximately 5:44 p.m. inside 20 Hudson Yards, a commercial and retail complex located within the confines of the 10th Precinct.
Authorities report that two unidentified individuals entered a retail jewelry establishment and interacted with a store employee. During the encounter, the suspects allegedly acted in concert to distract the employee while removing three pieces of jewelry valued at approximately $29,515.
Police say the suspects concealed the stolen property and exited the location without permission. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
Investigators describe the incident as a coordinated distraction theft targeting a Manhattan jewelry store in Hudson Yards. Law enforcement officials believe the two individuals worked together to divert the employee’s attention before unlawfully taking the merchandise.
The case is currently being investigated by detectives assigned to the 10th Precinct. The NYPD has released images of the suspects and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
The NYPD released surveillance video taken from inside the jewelry store during the robbery. The first suspect is described as a male with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a black knit hat, black jacket, dark jeans and gray sneakers.
The second suspect is described as a male with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a brown hat, black jacket, blue shirt, dark blue pants and black shoes.
Police have not released additional identifying details at this time.
The NYPD is actively seeking information from the public regarding this grand larceny inside a Manhattan commercial retail establishment.
