56-Year-Old Man Suffers Head Injury After Being Pushed From NYC Subway Train

NEW YORK, NY - A 56-year-old man was seriously injured after being pushed from a northbound 6 train at the 110th Street subway station in Manhattan during the early morning hours on Monday, police said.


According to investigators, the incident occurred at approximately 12:55 a.m. on July 13, 2026, as the train approached the 110th Street station. Police said the victim was inside the train when he was approached by an unidentified man.


When the train doors opened, the suspect allegedly shoved the victim out of the subway car. The victim was thrown onto the platform, where he struck a bench and suffered a severe head injury, authorities said.


The suspect fled the station immediately after the attack and remains at large.


EMS responded to the scene and transported the 56-year-old victim to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was listed in serious but stable condition, according to police.


The motive for the assault remains under investigation.


The NYPD has released media depicting the suspect and is asking for the public's assistance in identifying him.
