Subway Stabbing in Harlem

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Police are searching for a suspect after a 49-year-old man was stabbed on the southbound Number 6 train platform at the 125th Street subway station in East Harlem.
According to the NYPD, the attack happened on June 17, at approximately 10:05 a.m. inside the 125th Street subway station.
Investigators said the victim was standing on the southbound platform when an unidentified man approached him from behind. Police said the suspect made a threatening statement before stabbing the victim in the arm with an unknown sharp object.
After the attack, the suspect fled the station on foot in an unknown direction.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a man who was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, black-and-white sneakers, a black baseball cap, and carrying a black backpack.
