MANHATTAN - A straphanger was shoved to the ground and then robbed at a Stuy Town subway station, cops said. 


At around 3:30 am on December 15, a 28-year-old man was standing on the platform for the L Train at the 1st Avenue Station. Cops said a man walked up to the victim from behind and shoved him to the ground. The two then struggled on the ground. 


During the struggle, the attacker forcibly removed the victim’s debit card and his ID card. 


The attacker then fled the station in an unknown direction. 


$1,000 Ripped from Straphanger’s Hands


QUEENS - A straphanger had his wallet containing $1,000 ripped from his hand while waiting for a train at the Jackson Heights subway station. 


The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Beth Israel where he was treated for an injury to his hand. 


The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion who is 45 years old. He is 5 foot 9 and 180 pounds with short dark hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, a blue sweatshirt with “Champion” written in white, dark colored pants and dark colored sneakers.
