MANHATTAN - A Queens man was arrested in the stabbing on a D train at the Columbus Circle subway station, the NYPD said. 


Cops announced the arrested of 27-year-old Mark Ford from Queens. Ford was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. 


Around 6 am on January 17, a 42-year-old man was inside a southbound D train stopped at the 59th Street/ Columbus Circle station. An unknown man wearing a leather jacket with patches walked up to him. The man pulled out a knife and, without warning, plunged it into the straphanger’s right shoulder.


The attacker ran out of the train and was last seen jumping onto a northbound Number 2 train.


The victim was rushed to Woodhull Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
