MANHATTAN - Shoplifters near Fulton Street beat a Duane Reade employee during a dispute over Gummy Bears, the NYPD said.

At around 3:15 pm on December 23, two men were inside the Duane Reade at 17 John Street. Cops said the men removed 20 bags of Hairdo gummy bears and tried to leave the store without paying.

A 40-year-old worker confronted the shoplifters for not paying. Cops said the men then punched the worker repeatedly about the head before fleeing.

The attackers were seen running down the street and were then captured by subway surveillance cameras when they entered the Fulton Street station.
