MANHATTAN - A 10-year-old girl was raped by a man she met on an app, cops said. 


The NYPD released surveillance photos of the suspect who was captured on the security cameras in a bodega in East Harlem. The suspect is seen clad in a Nautica hoodie.


Cops said the 10-year-old girl had communicated with her attacker through an app. At around 9 pm on January 6, she met the man at Third Avenue and East 122nd Street. Cops said the man took the girl to an apartment and raped her. He then fled on foot. 


The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation.

Slasher Attacks Girl, 16, Walking Home from School

BRONX - A 16-year-old girl was slashed across the face as she was walking home from school during what the NYPD is calling an unprovoked attack. 


The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion and a medium build. He has a beard. He was last seen wearing a dark blue Nautica hoodie with green and white stripes on the shoulders and the sleeves. He also wore grey Nike sweatpants with a white stripe on either leg.
