MANHATTAN - The NYPD is looking for at least four baby-faced brats who attacked police officers in the theater district when the officers tried to break up a disorderly group. The attack was captured on video.
At around 8:30 pm on a Saturday night on January 27, cops were called to investigate a disorderly group near the New Amsterdam Theatre where Aladdin is playing. When the officers attempted to disperse the rowdy group a member of the group began fighting with an officer.
When cops tried to subdue and arrest the rowdy man, the others members of the group punched and kicked the officers. One tried to cover an officer’s face with his shirt.
Officers were punched and kicked in the head and throughout the body, the NYPD said.

The entire assault on the officers was caught on surveillance cameras.
The attackers ran away on West 42nd Street. However, in addition to the street cameras which recorded the melee, officer body cameras captured the suspects’ faces.
The suspects are described as males with light complexions dressed in baseball caps and hoodies.
