MANHATTAN - A female staphanger was choked and repeatedly punched by a man she got into an arguement with while inside a train at the Wall Street subway station.

At around 2:30 pm on December 16, a female passenger was riding a northbound Number 4 train. While approaching the Broadway and Wall Street subway station, the woman got into an arguement with a male straphanger. It is unclear what the dispute was over.

Cops said suddenly the man grabbed her by the neck and began punching her throughout her body. When the train reached the station, the attacker ran out of the train and fled the station.

Cops said the victim suffered scratches on both hands and her neck but refused medical attention at the scene.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect at the subway station. He is described as a male with a dark complexion who is between the ages of 30 and 35. He is 6 foot 1, 185 pounds with a heavy build with brown eyes and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow hoodie sweater, a multi-color jacket with letters on it, black jeans, multi-color sneakers, and a gray winter hat.
