MANHATTAN - Two muggers whipped a restaurant goer with a belt during a robbery in which they stole the victim’s $35,000 gold chain, cops said.  


At around 4:30 am on March 16, a 33-year-old male was exiting a restaurant on East 11th Street in NoHo. Cops said two men ran up behind him and one of the suspects began whipping him with a belt. Then the attackers began repeatedly punching and kicking the victim. 




The attackers then ripped the victim’s chain off his neck and fled south on Lafayette Street. 


EMS rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.  



Cops said the victim’s chain was valued at $35,000.  


The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspected attackers. 


The first suspect is described as a male who is 6 foot 1. He has a medium complexion, athletic build and facial hair.  He was last seen wearing a multicolored hat, beige cargo jacket, and black jeans. 


The second suspect is described as a male who is 5 foot 9. He has a dark complexion, average build, dreadlocks and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a multicolored pea coat and white pants.
