MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a man who vandalized a Lower East Side synagogue.
The NYPD released new surveillance video of the suspect who vandalized the synagogue in Chinatown last month.
At around midnight on March 19, the NYPD responded to a call of vandalism at the synagogue at 145 East Broadway. Cops said a man in a gray hoodie with a Haitian flag on the chest, walked up the synagogue and spray painted “Free Palestine” on the exterior wall.
The man then fled eastbound on East Broadway.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the vandalism as a possible hate crime.
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie with a Haitian flag on the front, dark-colored jeans, and black footwear.
