MANHATTAN - A crazed passenger attacked an MTA bus and the vehicle’s female driver, cops said.

At around 2 am on October 18, a 46-year-old female MTA employee was driving her bus in the vicinity of East 125 Street and 3 Avenue. Cops said a passenger came up and began arguing with her.  The man then exited the bus and grabbed the windshield blade, bending it. Then he walked around to the driver’s side and tried to break the sideview mirror.

Not able to break the mirror off the bus, the attacker chose to focus his rage on the bus driver. Cops said he repeatedly slammed the bus window on the driver’s left arm.

The attacker then ran off in the direction of East 125th Street heading toward 3rd Avenue.

The NYPD released surveillance video from the bus which shows the suspect standing in front of the vehicle before he allegedly tried to rip off the windshield wiper.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, medium build and dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a green hat, a black jacket, a white T-shirt, black jeans, and black boots.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
