‘You Are Jewish’ - Attacker Says

NEW YORK - Police arrested a man in connection with the hate crime assault on a subway train in which the suspect is quoted as saying he punched a woman in the face because she was Jewish.



Cops arrested 28-year-old Christopher N. D’Aguiar of East Harlem. He was charged with hate crime assault, aggravated harassment, assault and harassment.



At around 11:30 pm on October 14, a 29-year-old woman was sitting on a Number 7 Train near the 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue Subway Station. Without notice a man walked over to her and punched her in the face. 


Cops said the woman asked her attacker why he punched her and he told her, “You are Jewish.”


Cops Release New Video in Man Pushed onto Subway Tracks


NEW YORK - Police released new surveillance video of two men wanted in connection with the beating of a straphanger and then pushing him onto the subway tracks.

Police released cell phone video of the alleged attacker who is seen raising his hands up before the camera after allegedly attacking the woman. 


The woman was treated for minor injuries.
