MANHATTAN - A robber slashed a man across the face when he refused to hand over cash during an attack in Upper Manhattan, the NYPD said.
Police released surveillance video of the suspect seen holding a large knife standing on the corner. Investigators believe this man slashed a victim who would not pay up.
At around 4 pm on November 24, a 58-year-old man was walking down the street in Sugar Hill. Cops said a man wearing a face mask walked up to him and demanded money.
When the victim refused, the man pulled out a large knife and slashed him above the eye. The attacker then ran off.
EMS rushed the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Metropolitan where he was treated and is listed in stable condition.
The suspect is a male with a dark complexion who is 5 foot 9 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing multi-colored jacket, black jeans and black sneakers.
