MANHATTAN - Cops have identified a suspect in the fatal shooting at the Polo Grounds in upper Manhattan. 


Police are looking for 24-year-old Gekron Williams in connection with last month’s murder at a housing project in Washington Heights. 



At around 10:30 pm on March 3, Kenneth Taveras was standing in the rear of a building at 2971 8th Avenue in the Polo Grounds. Cops said a man walked up to him and opened fire. Taveras was struck multiple in the chest. 



The victim was rushed to Lincoln Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later. 


The NYPD announced that an investigation has led cops to identify Williams as the main suspect and released the suspect’s photo.
