MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a thief who ran away with thousands of dollars in stolen Lotto scratchies from a Flat Iron 7-Eleven.  


The NYPD released the dramatic video which shows the thief walking out of the store with a trail of stolen tickets dragged behind him. 





At around 6:40 pm on April 20, a man walking into a 7-Eleven at 800 Avenue of the Americas in the Flatiron District. The store’s surveillance cameras captured the suspect walking behind the counter and helping himself to sheets of uncut scratcher Lotto tickets. 


The video shows that as the thief tried to casually walk out with his stolen cards, he dropped a handful of tickets on the floor. The thief went back and picked them up. 


He is then seen on the video exiting the store. However, he had a trail of tickets dragging on the ground behind him. 


The NYPD values the stolen tickets at $3,400. 


The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who is between the ages of 25 and 30. He has a slim build and is 6 feet tall. He has black hair and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, light ripped jeans, black and white sneakers, black hat and sunglasses.
