Follow @xMANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a pair of muggers who beat a retiree on the street during a robbery in Chinatown.
At around 3:35 am on September 1, a 63-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of 120 East Broadway in Chinatown. Cops said two men ran up to him and pushed the victim to the ground.
As the man lay on the sidewalk, the attackers began repeatedly punching and kicking the victim. Then one of the attackers pulled out a knife and threatened the beaten victim who handed over his wallet.
The attackers then ran off in an unknown direction.
Cops said the muggers made off with $300 cash and credit cards.
The victim was treated for injuries to his head, face and arm.
The NYPD recently released surveillance video of one of the suspects. He is described as a man with a dark complexion, mustache and an afro-hair style. He was last seen wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black/red sneakers.
