‘Preppy’ Attacker Strikes Straphanger Over MetroCard

At around 11 pm on March 17, 55-year-old man was at the turnstiles inside the 23rd Street Station Subway when he was approached by a man in a pink shirt who asked the straphanger to swipe his MetroCard to allow him to enter the turnstile. When the man refused the deadbeat attacked. Cops said the suspect pushed the straphanger to the ground causing him to strike his head on the metal turnstile.
