NEW YORK - Police have released new images of a pair of luxury car jackers who tried to boost a pair of high-end rides in Midtown last month.

The NYPD released new surveillance video of suspects wanted for two incidents 10 minutes apart from each other.

At around 11:20 pm on February 18, a 31-year-old driver was sitting inside his 2023 Bentley sedan parked in front of 37 West 28th Street. Police said three men walked up to the luxury car and pulled out handguns. They demanded the driver exit the car.

Cops said the driver shut the car off with a key fob causing the would-be thieves to flee in a white BMW. The driver was not injured and the car was not stolen.

Ten minutes later, cops said the same crew struck again. The group approached a 2024 Mercedes-Benz sedan parked in front of 235 East 40th Street. The group of carjackers approached the vehicle. One of the group displayed a handgun and ordered the 33-year-old driver out of the car. He complied and the thieves drove off in his car followed by the white BMW.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/ or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
