Police Searching for Suspect After Deadly Early-Morning Shooting in Hell’s Kitchen

NYC LOCAL NEWS - Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place early Sunday morning in Manhattan, and they’re now searching for the suspect who fled the scene. The NYPD released the name of the victim. 


Police have identified the victim as 39-year-old Gibson Winters from Brooklyn. 


According to the NYPD, the shooting happened around 4:15 a.m. near West 46th Street and 12th Avenue in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found a 39-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his back and groin—injuries that would ultimately prove fatal.


First responders rushed the Gibson to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead.


The shooter, however, was already gone by the time officers reached the location. So far, no arrests have been made, and investigators are still working to piece together what exactly led up to the violence.


Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue their search for the suspect
