MANHATTAN - A 91-year-old man was knocked to the ground and beaten by a mugger on the Upper East Side, cops said.
The NYPD released new surveillance video of a suspect in last week’s brutal attack on an elderly man in Yorkville.
At around 10:30 am on February 1, a 91-year-old man was walking in front of 350 East 86th Street on the Upper East Side. Cops said a man ran up to the senior and pushed the elderly man to the ground. The attacker then began punching the senior as he struggled laying on the sidewalk.
The attacker then tried to remove the victim’s wallet but left empty handed. The suspect ran off westbound on East 86th Street.
Cops said the victim sustained serious injuries in the attack. EMS transported the victim to St. Luke’s Hospital Medical Center.
The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and medium build and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a winter coat and gray knitted hat. He had a black back pack and was seen holding several shirts as well as a group of cups.
