Teen and Male Attacked Woman on Upper East Side  The NYPD has arrested a 16-year-old girl in connection with the violent mugging on the Upper East Side in which a doorman chased off the attackers. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  February 16, 2024  MANHATTAN - Cops arrested a pink-haired teenager in connection with a violent mugging that was thwarted by a hero doorman, the NYPD said.  Yesterday police arrested a 16-year-old female in connection with the Upper East Side mugging. The teen was charged with robbery. Police are not releasing the name of the suspect because she is a minor.  The case made headlines because a local doorman chased off the attackers who had pinned the woman against the building he works in. Cops Nab Suspect in Assault on Cancer Patient, Age 91 The NYPD announced the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection to an assault on a 91-year-old man on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 12, 2024 MANHATTAN - Cops nabbed the suspect wanted in the brutal beating that put a 91-year-old man in the hospital.   The NYPD announced the arrest of 45-year-old Christian Torres of Brooklyn. He was charged with attempted robbery.  NYPD officials said Torres was recognized by officers in Harlem. The suspect had just exited the Number 6 train when officers recognized Torres from the wanted posters.  NYPD officials say Torres has multiple prior arrests.  At around 10:30 am on February 1, a 91-year-old man, Hyman Silverglad, was walking in front of 350 East 86th Street on the Upper East Side. Chelsea Assault Arrest, NYPD Searching for Another Suspect The NYPD made one arrest and are searching for a second suspect in the assault and robbery of a man in Chelsea on Christmas Eve. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 8, 2024 MANHATTAN - For the NYPD it’s one down and one to go in the vicious Chelsea Christmas Eve assault and robbery.  The NYPD announced the arrest of Yanoadiael Acosta of Washington Heights in the December 24th Chelsea mugging. Acosta was charged with robbery and misapplication of property. Another suspect is still being sought by cops.  At around 4 am on December 24, a 23-year-old male got into an argument with a group of individuals in the vicinity of 22nd Street and 7th Avenue in Chelsea. Cops said the dispute turned violent as the fight became physical leading two members of the group to chase after the man.  The victim was chased across the street but was caught by the attackers. Mugger Attacks Man, Age 91 The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a vicious attack on a 91-year-old man on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 7, 2024 MANHATTAN - A 91-year-old man was knocked to the ground and beaten by a mugger on the Upper East Side, cops said.  The NYPD released new surveillance video of a suspect in last week’s brutal attack on an elderly man in Yorkville.  At around 10:30 am on February 1, a 91-year-old man was walking in front of 350 East 86 th  Street on the Upper East Side. Cops said a man ran up to the senior and pushed the elderly man to the ground. The attacker then began punching the senior as he struggled laying on the sidewalk.  The attacker then tried to remove the victim’s wallet but left empty handed. The suspect ran off westbound on East 86th Street.   Cops said the victim sustained serious injuries in the attack. EMS transported the victim to St. Luke’s Hospital Medical Center. 

Woman Mugged on Upper East Side by Man and Woman Caught on Camera The NYPD is searching for this woman and a man in connection with a brutal mugging on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  February 7, 2024  MANHATTAN - An Upper East Side resident escaped a violent mugging when a doorman chased away the violent robbers, the NYPD said. Cops are looking for a woman with pink hair and her male accomplice.  At around 3 pm on February 4, a 24-year-old female was walking on the Upper East Side in the vicinity of Madison Avenue and East 75 th  Street across the street from the Frick Madison exhibit.  Cops said a woman with pink hair and a man ran up to the victim - the man placed the victim in a headlock and the woman pulled the victim’s hair dragging her to the ground.  The NYPD released a photo of a suspect in a mugging on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD The attackers forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone and tried to remove other property.
