NEW YORK - Cops are looking for a shoplifter who loaded up a stroller full of stolen items and attacked a clerk who tried to stop her.

At around 10:30 am on October 1, the woman was walking through a supermarket in 2040 Forest Avenue in Staten Island. Cops said she removed various items off the shelves and put them in her baby stroller. When she tried to leave the store without paying she was confronted by a 25-year-old store employee.

Cops said the shoplifter repeatedly punched the worker in the face and then fled. The victim sustained injuries but refused medical attention.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect pushing the carriage out the front of the store without paying. She is described as a female with a medium complexion and heavy build. She was last seen pushing a baby stroller. At the time she wore a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants with a design.
