MANHATTAN - A woman was bashed in the head with a baseball bat during a random attack in Chelsea, cops said.



At around 10 pm on February 8, a 25-year-old woman was walking in front of a Fed Ex store at 229 7th Avenue. Cops said an unknown man ran up behind her and hit her in the back of the head with a baseball bat.


The victim fell to the ground and the attacker ran away.



EMS rushed the victim to Lenox Hill Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.

MANHATTAN - A Times Square pickpocket threw a straphanger down a flight of stairs at the subway station and then stole the victim’s $6,000 watch, cops said.


Cops said she suffered a laceration and bruising to the head.


The suspect was captured on street surveillance video waving a bat. He is described as a male with a dark complexion and medium build.  He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, a blue knit hat, and gray sneakers.
