Cops ID Elderly Groper The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a sexual assault on an elderly woman in Upper Manhattan. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 29, 2024 MANHATTAN - A homeless man groped a 74-year-old woman inside her apartment in Upper Manhattan, cops said.  Click to see More... The NYPD have identified 64-year-old Aldred Eaddy as the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in catching him. Cops released Eaddy’s previous mugshot and said he is homeless.  At around 8 pm on January 31, the 74-year-old woman was returning to her apartment in the vicinity of Broadway and West 142 Street in Hamilton Heights. Cops said the suspect followed the victim into her building and to her apartment door. He then pushed his way into the victim’s apartment and groped the elderly woman, cops said. The suspect was last seen fleeing the building on foot.  Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime

Best Dressed Shoplifting Gang Struck Same North Face Store Twice The NYPD is searching for a number of suspects who robbed a Soho North Face store two days in a row. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 28, 2024 MANHATTAN - A flash mob struck a Soho North Face store twice and cops believe the crooks wore the evidence in the getaway.  The NYPD released subway surveillance video which showed a group of at least six individuals, both male and female, walking through the turnstiles with the brand new North Face jackets. Cops said these are the same people who struck the same Soho store two days in a row last month.  The first robbery took place at around 3 pm on January 8 at the North Face store at 584 Broadway. Cops said a group walked into the store, took coats off the racks and fled with the handsfull of merchandise. ‘Clownish’ Dressed Crook Robs Bank of $5K The NYPD is searching for a man who robbed a bank on the Lower East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 27, 2024  MANHATTAN - Low-profile was not this bank robber’s MO. Cops are looking for a suspect who wore an oversized track suit and a large yellow knit cap to rob a Lower East Side bank and then ditched the disguised in the getaway. At around 3:30 pm on January 30, the suspect walked into the Wells Fargo Bank on Clinton Street. Cops said the suspect passed a note to the teller demanding cash.  The bank employee handed the masked man $5,000 in cash and he fled the bank.  Cops released before and after surveillance videos. Random Attacker Bashes Victim in Head The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a random attack in Chelsea in which a woman was bashed in the back of the head with a baseball bat. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice February 26, 2024 MANHATTAN - A woman was bashed in the head with a baseball bat during a random attack in Chelsea, cops said. At around 10 pm on February 8, a 25-year-old woman was walking in front of a Fed Ex store at 229 7th Avenue. Cops said an unknown man ran up behind her and hit her in the back of the head with a baseball bat. The victim fell to the ground and the attacker ran away. EMS rushed the victim to Lenox Hill Hospital where she was listed in stable condition. 

McD’s Craving Crooks Used Stolen Debit Card to   Pay for Big Mac The NYPD is searching for this woman in connection with the unauthorized use of a stolen debit card. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice February 24, 2024 MANHATTAN - A pair of crooks who stole a handbag used the owner’s debit card at a Union Square McDonalds, cops said. At around 2:20 am on February 17, cops said a handbag left unattended in Times Square was found by two suspects. The suspects took the handbag and went to a McDonald’s on East 14th Street. Cops said the suspects pulled a debit card out of the stolen handbag and used it to purchase a meal off the McD’s illuminated menu board .  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects taken at the 1st Avenue and East 20th Street subway station at 3 am.  The suspect captured on surveillance video is described as a female with a light complexion and long blonde hair. Luxury Store Robbed of $225,000 of Handbags The NYPD is searching for these men in connection with the theft of $225,000 in luxury handbags from a SoHo store. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice February 23, 2024 MANHATTAN - A SoHo luxury handbag reseller was robbed of $225,000 worth of handbags during a night time burglary, cops said. At around 11 am on February 12, two men forced their way into Rebag at 390 West Broadway through a basement door. Cops said once inside, the men went upstairs to the display floor and started breaking into glass cases full of luxury handbags.  Cops said the thieves broke into multiple display cases and removed luxury handbags and watches valued at around $225,000. The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects seen at the subway station at Fresh Pond Road and 60 Road in Queens. Stuy Town Urinator Who Slashed  Man in Neck Busted - Cops Say The NYPD made an arrest in a slashing outside Stuy Town. Cops said the suspect attacked a man for yelling at him for urinating on a car. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice February 23, 2024 MANHATTAN - Police arrested a suspect in the slashing of a Stuy Town man who tried to stop a man from urinating on a car. The NYPD announced the arrest of 32-year-old Roberto Ortiz from the Bowery. He was charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance and false personation. At around 5 pm on January 21, a 66-year-old man was in front of 404 East 14th Street outside Stuy Town. Cops said he witnessed a man urinating on a parked car and asked him to stop.  The urinator pulled out a box cutter and slashed the man in the neck causing massive bleeding, cops said. The victim was rushed by EMS to Mount Sinai Beth Israel where he is listed in critical condition.
