MANHATTAN - A straphanger apparently did not like a subway performer’s music, when, cops say, she hit the musician upside the head with a metal bottle.

At around 5:45 pm on February 13, a 29-year-old musician was playing at the mezzanine of the 34th Street/ Herald Square Station. Cops said a woman walked up to the male playing music and struck him in the head with a metal bottle causing a deep cut.

The attacker fled the station.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. She is described as a female with a light complexion and slim build. She is believed to be 5 foot 3. She was last seen wearing a brown fur coat, black winter hat, burgundy scarf and a multicolored bag across her body.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
