Low on Dough Attacker Beats MTA Worker at Herald Square

The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an attack on an MTA worker at Herald Square. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 10, 2025 MANHATTAN - Cops are searching for an attacker who sucker punched an MTA worker at the Herald Square subway station. Reports claim the victim tried to help the alleged attacker after his OMNY card did not work.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect who was seen sporting large over the ear headphones atop his head.  At around 7 pm, at the mezzanine of the 34th Street - Herald Square subway station the suspect was captured on surveillance video. The video shows the man wearing a bright green hoodie fiddling with his OMNY card trying to get through the turnstile. Woman Nabbed for Hitting Subway Performer in Head with Bottle The NYPD has announced an arrest in the assault on a subway performer at the Herald Square Station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice February 29, 2024 MANHATTAN - Cops have arrested a Brooklyn woman in the subway bashing of a musician. The performer was bashed in the head with a bottle and the attack was caught on video. The NYPD announced the arrest of 23-year-old Amira Hunter. The Brooklyn resident was charged with assault. At around 5:45 pm on February 13, a 29-year-old musician was playing at the mezzanine of the 34th Street/ Herald Square Station. Cops said a woman walked up to the male playing music and struck him in the head with a metal bottle causing a deep cut.  The attacker fled the station. Cops not only had surveillance video of the suspect but straphangers recorded the attack on cell phone video.

Subway Performer Hit in Head with Bottle at Herald Square The NYPD is searching for this woman in connection with an assault on a subway musician. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 14, 2024 MANHATTAN - A straphanger apparently did not like a subway performer’s music, when, cops say, she hit the musician upside the head with a metal bottle.  At around 5:45 pm on February 13, a 29-year-old musician was playing at the mezzanine of the 34th Street/ Herald Square Station. Cops said a woman walked up to the male playing music and struck him in the head with a metal bottle causing a deep cut.  The attacker fled the station.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. She is described as a female with a light complexion and slim build. She is believed to be 5 foot 3. Stabbed at Herald Square

A straphanger (Left) struggled with a man who stole his backpack. The robber stabbed his victim repeatedly. By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice November 28, 2022 MANHATTAN - A straphanger was repeatedly stabbed at the Herald Square subway station during a robbery. Police released the dramatic video which captured the attack.  At around 10 pm on November 22, a 34-year-old man was riding the southbound F train approaching the Herald Square station at 34th Street. An unknown man approached him and asked for a cigarette. As the straphanger handed over a cigarette, the other man tried to remove cash from him.   The two men struggled within the subway car at which point the cigarette grubber pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the man in the torso.  When the train stopped at Herald Square and the doors opened, the fight continued onto the subway platform.
