Subway Performer Hit in Head with Bottle at Herald Square The NYPD is searching for this woman in connection with an assault on a subway musician. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 14, 2024 MANHATTAN - A straphanger apparently did not like a subway performer’s music, when, cops say, she hit the musician upside the head with a metal bottle. At around 5:45 pm on February 13, a 29-year-old musician was playing at the mezzanine of the 34th Street/ Herald Square Station. Cops said a woman walked up to the male playing music and struck him in the head with a metal bottle causing a deep cut. The attacker fled the station. The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. She is described as a female with a light complexion and slim build. She is believed to be 5 foot 3.
