Subway Performer Hit in Head with Bottle at Herald Square The NYPD is searching for this woman in connection with an assault on a subway musician. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 14, 2024 MANHATTAN - A straphanger apparently did not like a subway performer’s music, when, cops say, she hit the musician upside the head with a metal bottle.  At around 5:45 pm on February 13, a 29-year-old musician was playing at the mezzanine of the 34th Street/ Herald Square Station. Cops said a woman walked up to the male playing music and struck him in the head with a metal bottle causing a deep cut.  The attacker fled the station.  The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. She is described as a female with a light complexion and slim build. She is believed to be 5 foot 3. She was last seen wearing a brown fur coat, black winter hat, burgundy scarf and a multicolored bag across her body. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call

Cops Nab Suspect in Assault on Cancer Patient, Age 91 The NYPD announced the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection to an assault on a 91-year-old man on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 12, 2024 MANHATTAN - Cops nabbed the suspect wanted in the brutal beating that put a 91-year-old man in the hospital.   The NYPD announced the arrest of 45-year-old Christian Torres of Brooklyn. He was charged with attempted robbery.  NYPD officials said Torres was recognized by officers in Harlem. The suspect had just exited the Number 6 train when officers recognized Torres from the wanted posters.  NYPD officials say Torres has multiple prior arrests.  At around 10:30 am on February 1, a 91-year-old man, Hyman Silverglad, was walking in front of 350 East 86th Street on the Upper East Side. Cops said a man ran up to the senior and pushed Silverglad to the ground. The attacker then began punching the senior as he struggled laying on the side

Man Assaulted with a Metal Pipe During Argument  The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an assault on a man with a metal pipe. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  February 12, 2024  MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for the suspect who bashed a man in the head with a metal pipe during a beatdown in Chinatown, the NYPD said.  At around 3:40 am on January 30, two men were arguing in front of 83 Baxter Street in Chinatown. Investigators did not comment on whether the two men knew each other or what they were arguing about.  As the argument got heated, one of the men picked up a metal pipe and began bashing the other in the head, cops said. The attacker struck the man multiple times in the head with the pipe and then ran off.  The victim was rushed the Bellevue Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.  The NYPD released new surveillance video of the suspect. Chelsea Assault Arrest, NYPD Searching for Another Suspect The NYPD made one arrest and are searching for a second suspect in the assault and robbery of a man in Chelsea on Christmas Eve. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 8, 2024 MANHATTAN - For the NYPD it’s one down and one to go in the vicious Chelsea Christmas Eve assault and robbery.  The NYPD announced the arrest of Yanoadiael Acosta of Washington Heights in the December 24th Chelsea mugging. Acosta was charged with robbery and misapplication of property. Another suspect is still being sought by cops.  At around 4 am on December 24, a 23-year-old male got into an argument with a group of individuals in the vicinity of 22nd Street and 7th Avenue in Chelsea. Cops said the dispute turned violent as the fight became physical leading two members of the group to chase after the man.  The victim was chased across the street but was caught by the attackers. Woman Mugged on Upper East Side by Man and Woman Caught on Camera The NYPD is searching for this woman and a man in connection with a brutal mugging on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  February 7, 2024  MANHATTAN - An Upper East Side resident escaped a violent mugging when a doorman chased away the violent robbers, the NYPD said. Cops are looking for a woman with pink hair and her male accomplice.  At around 3 pm on February 4, a 24-year-old female was walking on the Upper East Side in the vicinity of Madison Avenue and East 75 th  Street across the street from the Frick Madison exhibit.  Cops said a woman with pink hair and a man ran up to the victim - the man placed the victim in a headlock and the woman pulled the victim’s hair dragging her to the ground.  The NYPD released a photo of a suspect in a mugging on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD The attackers forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone and tried to remove other property. Female Robbery Crew Beats, Robs Girls The NYPD is searching for four females in connection with an assault and robbery of teenage girls on the Lower East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice February 1, 2024 MANHATTAN - A pair of teenage girls were beaten and robbed by a group of females on the Lower East Side, the NYPD said. At around 9 pm on January 18, a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl were walking in front of 70 Pitt Street on the Lower East Side. Cops said a group of four females ran up to the girls and began wailing on the teens.  The attackers punched the girls in the face and about the head. During the assault, the 15 year old dropped her cellphone. One of the attackers picked up the phone and the group took off. Cops said the four attackers piled into a nearby blue sedan and drive off.  The victims suffers bumps and bruises to the face but refused medical attention at the scene.
