70-Year-Old Man Charged with Fatally Stabbing Roommate, Age 71

Cops Charge Man with Fatally Stabbing Roommate A 70-year-old man was charged in the fatal stabbing of his roommate in Hell's Kitchen. -File Photo By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  November 30, 2023  MANHATTAN - A 70-year-old man was charged in the fatal stabbing of his 71-year-old roommate inside their Hell’s Kitchen apartment, the NYPD said.  Michael Pinder, 70, has been charged with attempted manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the death of his roommate, 71-year-old Joseph Pescitelli.  At around 11 pm on November 28, cops were called to an apartment at 475 West 57th Street. There police observed a Pescitelli with a stab wound to the back.  Further investigation revealed that the other person in the apartment, Pinder, had slash wounds on both hands. Police took him into custody. Both men were taken to Mount Sinai Morningside. The 71-year-old victim was pronounced dead. The Pinder is in stable condition. 

Flatiron Hack Attack - Computer Thief Makes Off with Bags Full of Devices

The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with the theft of computers taken from an office in the Flatiron District. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan News  November 30, 2023  MANHATTAN - A burglar was caught on surveillance video limping through the streets of the Flatiron District with bags full of stolen computers, the NYPD said.  At around 8:30 pm on November 15, a man with a limp walked into a building at 12 West 21st Street in the Flatiron District. Cops said the man entered an office on the second floor and began removing computers and other property and stuffing them into a tote bag and a duffel bag. 

Woman Robbed Walking Dog in Park in Garment District

The NYPD is searching for three men in connection with a mugging inside a park on the West Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice November 30, 2023 MANHATTAN - A woman walking her dog in the park in the Garment District was robbed by a trio of muggers, the NYPD said. At around 8 pm on November 23, a 29-year-old woman was walking her dog in Bella Abzug Park in the vicinity of Henry Hudson River and West 36 Street, near the Hudson Yards. Three men walked up to the woman and pounced. Cops said the group forcibly went through the woman’s pockets and removed her cell phone. The trio then ran off toward West 36th Street. The NYPD released grainy surveillance video of the suspects taken from inside the park.

Wall Street Subway Choking

The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a choking at the Wall Street subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  November 29, 2023  MANHATTAN - A straphanger was choked at the Wall Street subway station during rush hour in an apparent random attack, the NYPD said.  At around 5:30 pm on November 14, a 34-year-old man was waiting for the Number 2 Train on the platform of the Wall Street subway station. Cops said a man walked up to the straphanger, put his hands on the rider’s neck and squeezed. The choker then ran off.  The victim refused medical attention at the scene. The NYPD released a photo of the suspect that appears to be taken from a cell phone on the platform at the time of the attack. It is unclear why the suspect attacked the straphanger.

There police observed a 71-year-old male with a stab wound to the back. 

Furry Slipper Wearing Robber is Part of Trio that Stuck Up Taxi Drivers in Manhattan and Bronx

The NYPD is searching for three women, one who was seen wearing furry slippers, accused of robbing two taxi drivers at gunpoint. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  November 28, 2023  MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a trio of female bandits who robbed two cabbies in Manhattan and the Bronx at gunpoint within a two-hour period. The NYPD is searching for three women wearing some conspicuous outfits for robbers. One of the suspects is seen on subway surveillance video wearing furry slippers. Another is seen wearing work out gear. The final suspect is covered head to toe wearing hats, hoods, face masks and rubber gloves.  The trio kicked off their two-hour robbery spree at around 1 am near Grand Central Station on November 20. Cops said the three women were passengers inside a taxi in Midtown. In the vicinity of 412 Lexington Avenue the trio began arguing with the 60-year-old cab driver. Cops said one of the suspects pulled out a gun as the others removed the cabbie

2 Arrested for Attacking Jewish Woman, Ripping Star of David from her Neck

The NYPD is searching for two well-dressed suspects in connection with an attack on a Jewish woman who video taped Missing Hostage posters being torn down. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice November 27, 2023 MANHATTAN - The NYPD arrested two women for allegedly assaulting a Jewish woman and ripping her chain of the Star of David off her neck. The victim was attacked because she recorded the pair tearing down posters of Hamas hostage victims, cops said.  The NYPD announced the arrest of 26-year old Mehwish Omer and 25-year-old Stephanie Gonzalez. Omer was charged with two hate crime charges for assault and criminal mischief. Gonzalez was charged with hate crime assault and attempted robbery. At around 10 pm on November 9, two women were removing the posters of missing Israelis taken hostage by Hamas. Thanksgiving Double Stabbing -1 Dead, 1 Wounded

The NYPD is investigating a double stabbing in Chinatown on Thanksgiving. -File Photo By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice November 24, 2023 MANHATTAN - An early morning Thanksgiving Day double stabbing left one man dead and another wounded, the NYPD said. Police announced an arrest in the attack. The NYPD arrested Gianluca Bordone, 19, and charged him with manslaughter and assault. At around 2 am on November 23, NYPD officers responded to reports of a stabbing in front of 96 Lafayette Street. Instead of only one victim, the officers found two young men stabbed lying on the street. A 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male both suffered stab wounds to the torsos.
