Crook was ‘Caught’ Red Handed on Camera The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an assault and robbery of a backpack on a subway train at Rockefeller Center. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 28, 2024 MANHATTAN - A teenage straphanger was mugged inside a subway car at the Rockefeller Center Subway Station and cops said cameras caught him carrying the stolen item off the train. At around 5:30 am on February 27, a 17-year-old male was sitting on a southbound F Train. As the train approached the Rockefeller Center Station, a man approached him. Cops said without warning the man punched the teen in the stomach and ripped the backpack out of the victim’s hands. The attacker then fled the subway car and ran out of the station.
