By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice December 8, 2022 MANHATTAN - Police have arrested the man, they say, yelled “I Hate Mexicans” as he slashed a man’s face during a hate crime in Washington Heights. Police arrested 46-year-old Demont Drawhorn and charged him with hate crime/assault, assault, hate crime/aggravated harassment and criminal posession of a weapon. The arrest stemmed from an attack back in October in which a Good Samaritan tried to break up a fight and instead got slashed in the face for his trouble. At around 7 pm on October 23, police responded to a call of an assault at a candy store on West 161st Street in Washington Heights. An investigation revealed that the attack stemmed from an assault involving three customers- two arguing and one trying to break it up. C
