Cops said the suspect threw the flmaing substance at subway riders. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice March 13, 2024 MANHATTAN - A deranged person threw a container of flaming liquid at a group of straphangers on a subway platform cops said. The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect seen carrying two containers of flaming liquid. The suspect is seen holding the burning substance as he stood near the turnstiles. At around 7:40 pm on February 5, a group of people were waiting on a platform for the 1 Train at the West 28th Station. Cops said the suspect walked over and threw a container of flaming liquid at the people on the platform. No one was injured in the attack. The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who is around 35 years of age. He is six feet tall,

Cops Make Arrest in Mugging of Teen for Backpack at Rockefeller Center The NYPD made an arrest in the assault and robbery of a teen at the Rockefeller Ceneter train station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice  March 13, 2024  MANHATTAN - A Brooklyn man was arrested for a mugging at a Rockefeller Center train station in which a teen was beaten for his backpack, the NYPD announced.  Police arrested 26-year-old Luis Paulino of Brooklyn and charged him with robbery.  At around 5:30 am on February 27, a 17-year-old male was sitting on a southbound F Train. As the train approached the Rockefeller Center Station, a man approached him. Cops said without warning the man punched the teen in the stomach and ripped the backpack out of the victim’s hands.

Attacker Made Homophobic Remarks Before Slashing Subway Rider - Cops Say The NYPD has made an arrest in the hate crime slashing inside a subway train at Penn Station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice March 5, 2024 MANHATTAN - A Bronx man has been arrested for the hate crime slashing at Penn Station, the NYPD said. Police have arrested 46-year-old Milton Hamlin of the Grand Concourse for the subway slashing. Hamlin was charged with assault hate crime, assault, menacing hate crime and menacing. At around 11 pm on March 1, a 27-year-old man was riding the A Train approached 34th Street Penn Station. Cops said unprovoked, another man approached him and made anti-LGBTQ statements.  The attacker then pulled out a box cutter and went after the straphanger. The victim put up his hands to stop the blow and was slashed on his left hand.

A new photo had been released of the man suspected of kicking a straphanger onto the tracks at Penn Station, the NYPD announced. In addition to the droopy drawers, the video shows the suspect wearing sunglasses with the price tag still hanging from the glasses. In the video the man is seen holding up his pants as they fall around his ankles. Cops said the suspect pulled up his pants and kicked a subway rider for no reason.

Man Slashed with Box Cutter Inside Subway Car The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a hate crime in which a straphanger was slashed on the subway. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 4, 2024 MANHATTAN - A straphanger was slashed inside an “A” train by a man who shouted homophobic remarks during an unprovoked attack, the NYPD said.  At around 11 pm on March 1, a 27-year-old man was riding the A Train approached 34th Street Penn Station. Cops said unprovoked, another man approached him and made anti-LGBTQ statements.  The attacker then pulled out a box cutter and went after the straphanger. The victim put up his hands to stop the blow and was slashed on his left hand.  Cops said the victim fled the train at the station seeking help but the attacker remained on the train. Cops Make Arrest in Beating of Subway Musician in Herald Square

Woman Nabbed for Hitting Subway Performer in Head with Bottle The NYPD has announced an arrest in the assault on a subway performer at the Herald Square Station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice February 29, 2024 MANHATTAN - Cops have arrested a Brooklyn woman in the subway bashing of a musician. The performer was bashed in the head with a bottle and the attack was caught on video. The NYPD announced the arrest of 23-year-old Amira Hunter. The Brooklyn resident was charged with assault. At around 5:45 pm on February 13, a 29-year-old musician was playing at the mezzanine of the 34th Street/ Herald Square Station. Cops said a woman walked up to the male playing music and struck him in the head with a metal bottle causing a deep cut.  The attacker fled the station. Cops not only had surveillance video of the suspect but straphangers recorded the attack on cell phone video.

As the train approached the Rockefeller Center Station, a man approached him. Pickpocket Throws Man Down Stairs at Times Square Station

Cartier Thief Makes Off with $6K Watch The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an assault and robbery of a straphanger at the Times Square subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice February 25, 2024 MANHATTAN - A Times Square pickpocket threw a straphanger down a flight of stairs at the subway station and then stole the victim’s $6,000 watch, cops said. At around 4:30 pm on February 20, a 59-year-old man exited a train and was climbing the stairs at the Times Square Station. Cops said a man approached the straphanger from behind and reached into his pocket. The victim turned around and confronted the pickpocket and a struggle ensured. Cops said the pickpocket then pushed the man down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, the attacker removed $1,000 cash off the victim and then pulled a Cartier watch off the victim’s wrist, cops said. The watch is valued at $6,000, the NYPD said. The victim took himself to a doctor by private means.
