Muggers Beat Straphanger at Bowling Green Station The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a beating an robbery inside a lower Manhattan subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 27, 2024 MANHATTAN - A subway rider was punched and pistol whipped during a robbery inside the Bowling Green Station, the NYPD announced. Cops made one arrest and are searching for a second robber. At around 11 pm on March 23, a 22-year-old man was standing on the platform at the Bowling Green station waiting for a northbound Number 4 train. Two men walked up to the straphanger and attacked. Cops said the first robber punched the victim in the face and removed the man’s iPhone. The second suspect took out a gun and pistol whipped the victim in the face.
