The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating an unusual attempted assault on the Upper East Side. At around 6 pm on April 4, a 22-year-old woman was entering at the subway station for the F and Q trains at Lexington and 63rd Street. Cops said a man came up from behind and threw a can of baked beans at her. The can missed but the attacker made “anti-ethnic remarks” before hopping onto a subway train as it departed the station.
