Robbers Beat Man Trying to Enter Station The NYPD is searching for these men who beat and robbed a teen who refused to pay them to enter the subway. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice April 10, 2024 MANHATTAN - A teenager was beaten and robbed when he refused to pay a toll to two men to enter a subway station in Greenwich Village. At around 11 am on April 6, a 17-year-old male was trying to enter the turnstiles to reach the subway platform in the Greenwich Village subway station. Cops said two men were near the entrance and demanded money to enter the station. When the teen refused the men pounced. The men began punching the teen in the head and began removing his property. Cops said the muggers took the teen’s skateboard and necklace before running away. The victim was taken to Lenox Health Greenwich Village Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects hanging around the entrance. ...
