Dozens were arrested. -Twitter By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice April 16, 2024 MANHATTAN - Anti-Israel protesters shut down the Brooklyn Bridge using signs, people and smoke to snarl traffic and cause the NYPD to make dozens of arrests. At around 3 pm yesterday, hundreds of protesters marched from lower Manhattan onto the Brooklyn Bridge filling the roadway and snarling traffic. Protesters chanted, waved flags and lit off smoke bombs and flares, leading cops to arrest scores of protesters. Police arrest protesters blocking traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge. - Citizen The massive protest comes less than 48 hours after Israel was attacked by Iran during a massive drone and missile attack. The city was placed on high alert following the attack over concern of attacks on houses of worship.
