The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an assault on a straphanger in the Flatiron District. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice March 26, 2025 MANHATTAN - The NYPD is looking for a man dressed as if he was going to the office or an author reading instead of a violent assault that wounded a straphanger in the Flatiron District.  At around 11 pm on March 17, 55-year-old man was at the turnstiles inside the 23rd Street Station Subway when he was approached by a man in a pink shirt who asked the straphanger to swipe his MetroCard to allow him to enter the turnstile. When the man refused the deadbeat attacked.  Cops said the suspect pushed the straphanger to the ground causing him to strike his head on the metal turnstile.  The attacker then fled the subway station. Mugging in Flatiron District The NYPD is searching for these men in connection with a knifepoint robbery in the Flatiron District. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice January 31, 2024 MANHATTAN - A 61-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint by a pair of robbers in the Flatiron District. Cops said the violent robbery was for $60. The NYPD released new surveillance video of the suspects taken from inside a subway station near Union Square. The suspects are both males with light complexions wearing dark hoodies. One of the men wore a blue face mask.  At around 4:30 am on January 26, a 61-year-old man was walking in front of 5 East 19 th  Street in the Flatiron District. Cops said two men in hoodies ran up to him and displayed a knife.
