Bronx Man Arrested for the Attempted Rape on Subway Car in Chambers Street Station Police said this man attempted to rape a woman inside a Manhattan subway train. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice June 29, 2023 MANHATTAN - Cops busted a Bronx man in connection with an attempted sexual assault and robbery inside a subway car at Chambers Street. Police arrested 44-year-old Patrick Robles of Jerome Avenue in the Bronx. Robles was charged with attempted rape, robbery and attempted criminal sex act by force. Cops said Robles is the man seen on subway station surveillance video walking away from the train. Investigators said Robles sexually assaulted a female straphanger inside a subway train at the Chambers Street station on a Friday night.  At around 9 pm on June 9, a 29-year-old woman was riding in a southbound J Train at the Chambers Street station in lower Manhattan. Cops Make Arrest in Grand Central Beat Down

By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice June 28, 2023 MANHATTAN - Police have arrested a Queens man in connection with the assault of a straphanger at Grand Central Station.  Cops announced the arrest of 33-year-old Rodney Smalls of Edgemere, Queens. Smalls was charged with assault.   At around 5:50 am on June 14, a 43-year-old man was waiting for a Number 7 train at the 42nd Street- Grand Central Station. Cops said the straphanger got into a verbal dispute with another man in the mezzanine of the Midtown subway station.    Suddenly the other man began to repeatedly punch the straphanger in the face, cops said. After stunning the victim, the attacker hopped on a Queens bound Number 7 train. It is unclear which station he left the train.  Cops said the victim later went to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Jacobi in the Bronx where he was treated for minor injuries.  

Bike Rider Punches Elderly Man in Face in front of Peter Cooper Village

By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice June 27, 2023 MANHATTAN - An elderly man was punched in the face by a man walking with a bicycle outside Peter Cooper Village, cops said. At around 10:45 pm on June 5,    a 72-year-old man was standing in front of 510 East 23rd Street in Peter Cooper Village. Cops said a man walking alongside his bike walked up to the elderly man and without warning punched him in the face. The attacker then hopped on his bike and drove off in an unknown direction, cops said. The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition. Police released grainy surveillance video showing the suspect riding his bike away from the camera and then turning around the corner. He is the seen walking back dismounted and walking with the bicycle alongside. He is then seen hopping back on the bike and riding off.
