Accused of Raping, Choking Woman in Her Building The NYPD has made an arrest in the brutal rape and choking of a woman inside her SoHo building. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice April 23, 2024 MANHATTAN - Police have arrested a man in connection with the rape and choking of a woman inside a SoHo building. Police arrested 30-year-old Ellow Williams of Catherine Slip near the Brooklyn Bridge. He was charged with rape, strangulation, stalking, sex abuse, robbery, burglary, coercion and criminal possession of a firearm. At around 4 am on April 21, a 23-year-old woman was returning to her apartment building in the vicinity of Thompson Street and Prince Street. Cops said a man dressed in a black hoodie with a red graphic on the back, followed her into the building.
