Hate Crime Attack at ‘Peace Protest’ The NYPD is looking for this man and three others in connection with an assault on a man carrying an Israeli flag at a pro Palestine protest. By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice October 10, 2024 MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a group of Pro-Palestine protestors who assaulted a man carrying a flag of Israel at Union Square Park.  The NYPD just  released new images of four suspects in connection with Monday’s assault.  At around 4 pm on October 7, a 54-year-old man was assaulted during a Pro Palestine Protest at 10 Union Square East. Cops said the man was counterprotesting while holding an Israeli flag. Then a group of pro Palestine protestors surrounded the man and tried to yank the flag out of his hands.  Cops said during the struggle a man in a white t-shirt struck the pro-Israel supporter in the face with a flagpole. Straphanger Assaulted at 59th Street The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with an assault and a possible hate crime in the  Columbus Cirlce subway station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice September 6, 2024 Follow @x MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a man who slugged a straphanger on a train at Columbus Circle while spouting hate. At around 4:45 pm on August 17, a 29-year-old man was riding a northbound A Train. Cops said a man walked up to the straphanger and began yelling “derogatory anti-LGBTQ remarks.” Then the man spouting hate punched the straphanger in the face.  When the train pulled into the 59th Street and Columbus Circle station, the attacker ran out of the subway car. The victim suffered pain to his face and back and sought medical attention. Cops said he went to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center for treatment. Shouts: ‘Hitler was Right’ The NYPD is searching for this man in connection with a hate crime attack on the Upper East Side. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice August 28, 2024 Follow @x NEW YORK - Cops are investigating a hate crime attack in which a man spat into a park goer’s face and screamed “Hitler was right.” The NYPD released new surveillance video of the suspect from last month’s attack. At around 4 pm on July 27, a 65-year-old male was walking across the street from Central Park and 5th Avenue and E. 68th Street.  According to police, a man wearing a face mask walked up to the victim and began arguing. According to published reports, the suspect yelled at the victim “Hitler was right.” Cops said the attacker then lowered his face mask and spat in the man’s face and then fled on Madison Avenue. Attacker Made Homophobic Remarks Before Slashing Subway Rider - Cops Say The NYPD has made an arrest in the hate crime slashing inside a subway train at Penn Station. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein  Manhattan Voice March 5, 2024 MANHATTAN - A Bronx man has been arrested for the hate crime slashing at Penn Station, the NYPD said. Police have arrested 46-year-old Milton Hamlin of the Grand Concourse for the subway slashing. Hamlin was charged with assault hate crime, assault, menacing hate crime and menacing. At around 11 pm on March 1, a 27-year-old man was riding the A Train approached 34th Street Penn Station. Cops said unprovoked, another man approached him and made anti-LGBTQ statements.  The attacker then pulled out a box cutter and went after the straphanger. The victim put up his hands to stop the blow and was slashed on his left hand.

Cops said unprovoked, another man approached him and made anti-LGBTQ statements.  The attacker then pulled out a box cutter and went after the straphanger. The victim put up his hands to stop the blow and was slashed on his left hand.  Cops said the victim fled the train at the station seeking help but the attacker remained on the train. Hate Crime Investigated Near Yeshiva University The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating anti-Semitic comments written in an elevator near Yeshiva University. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Manhattan Voice February 5, 2024 MANHATTAN - Cops are looking for a woman who alleged scrawled hate messages inside an elevator across from Yeshiva University. The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating. At around 2:30 pm on January 15, someone wrote an “anti-Semitic statement” in marker inside an elevator at 497 West 182nd Street.  Following an investigation the NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect.  The suspect is described as a female with a slim build and a light complexion. She was last seen wearing a checker-colored jacket, a green beanie cap, a blue surgical mask, long earrings, and camo-colored pants.
